TechLine Mfg. Achieves ABS Product Design Assessment for Snap Track Channel Tray

TechLine Mfg announces that a Product Design Assessment (PDA) by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) has been completed for its Snap Track channel tray product.

ABS is an American maritime classification society  whose mission is to promote the security of life, property, and the natural environment through the development and verification of standards for design, construction, and operational maintenance of marine and offshore assets.

ABS has reviewed the product and approved Snap Track to be used in offshore/marine markets on ships, offshore rigs and other vessels and facilities. Snap Track channel tray is an innovative ventilated channel type cable tray. It is a UL classified product with patented push pin assembly and is an excellent choice for managing cable and tubing. It is made of marine grade 6063-T6 aluminum. SInce 2009, Snap Track has been used to support cable and tubing in chemical processing plants, LNG facilities, power plants, wineries and more. Often used in place of wire basket, conduit, or generic tray, Snap Track saves on total installed costs by reducing labor because of its push pin assembly and long spans that require fewer supports.

According to Ric Lacey, executive vice president of TechLine Mfg., "Long term, this opens new doors for TechLine Mfg. into a new market. We are excited about the opportunity to expand the use of our popular Snap Track product into a new application. We have already had demand and this allows our customers to purchase the product knowing it has been approved for their marine application."
